Cardiff – England: England beat Pakistan easily by 5 wickets in the 1st T20 match of the ‘NatWest T20 Series’

Toss: England won the toss & elected to field.

Pakistan Innings:

Kamran Akmal & Shahzaib Hassan were the openers from the side of Pakistan. English team was looking good. Pakistan team was under the shadow of fixing.

At the score of 13, Kmaran Akmal got out at the ball of Bresnan. He scored just 6 runs of 4 balls. Next batsman was Mohammad Yousuf.

Mohammad Yousuf & Shahzaib Hassan played some beautiful shots in their innings. When Pakistan was looking good, Mohammad Yousuf got out at the ball of Swann. He scored 26 runs of 18 balls. He again proved that he can play every kind of Cricket. At this stage, the score of Pakistan was 50/2 in 6.5 overs.

Next man was Fawad Alam, the spectators were surprised to see that instead of playing shots he was blocking the balls. At the score of 56, Shahzaib Hassan say Good-Bye to Fawad & went back to pavilion. He scored 21 runs of 25 balls.

The new batsman was Umar Akmal, he tried his best to level up the score but on the other hand Fawad was blocking the balls.

At the score of 88, Fawad Alam was dismissed by Yardy. He scored 20 runs of 29 balls. The score of Pakistan was just 88 runs & 4 wickets were down in 15.1 overs.

At this critical moment, captain of Pakistan Cricket Team came down & started helping Umar in making runs.

Both tried their best & in the end they got a total of 126 runs. This was nothing for England.

Pakistan Innings ==> 126/4 in 20 overs.

England Innings:

Craig Kieswetter & Steve Davies were the openers of the England. They were looking good.

Shoaib Akhter got Craig out in his 1st over. Craig scored 6 runs of 7 balls. At this moment the score of England was 9/1 in 1.4 overs.

Next man was Bopara, at score of 42 Shoaib Akhter again took the wicket of Bopara. He scored 11 runs of 13 balls.

Now the captain Collingwood was on the crease. Davies & Collingwod played some beautiful shots but at the score of 55, Collingwood leaved the pitch. He scored just 4 runs of 4 balls. This time the wicket was for Shahid Afridi. Captain bold Captain.

Morgin stepped in but Davies was in hurry. Davies left Morgin at the score of 57. He scored 33 runs of 27 balls.

Wright was the next man but at the score of 62, he got out at the ball of Afridi. 5 wickets of England were down.

Next man was Michael Yardy, he started building a solid partnership with Morgin. The match was in the favour of Pakistan before this partnership.

Saeed Ajmal blew his team party. Shoaib Akhter dropped the catch at the ball of Shaid Afridi. In the 18th over, the match came to an end in the favour of England.

England won the match by 5 wickets. Morgan scored 33 runs of 24 balls & Yardy scored 35 runs of 26 balls.

England Innings ==> 129/5 in 17.1 overs.

Result: England won by 5 wickets.

Dusty Atmosphere:

The PCB announced a team of 16 members for the ODI & T20 series. After the accusations of match fixing/spot fixing the ECB & ICC are forcing PCB to suspend 3 players (Salman Butt, Mohammad Asif, Mohammad Aamer) from the series.

The chairman of the PCB Ejaz Butt said that they will not suspend any player before the investigation report of Scotland Yard comes up with strong evidences.

The President of ICC Sharad Pawar said that the report of ACSU is about to come in two days & it will prove everything.

The High Commission of Pakistan said that their is no allegation against Mohammad Aamer, Mohammad Asif & Salman Butt. The wicket keeper Kamran Akmal was cleared.

After the release of Majeed on bail without any charge make the atmosphere more dusty then it was. As he was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to defraud bookmakers.
