Abu Dhabi: South Africa won the 1st ODI against Pakistan by 8 wickets. Two batsmen of South Africa injured. Pakistan openers played very well but the middle order batsmen failed again.
Toss: Pakistan won the toss & elected to bat.
Pakistan Innings:
Pakistan made three changes, Imran Farhat, Shahzaib Hassan & Umar Akmal were omitted from the squad, Asad Shafiq, Younis Khan & Fawad Alam were in the team.
Asad Shafiq & Mohammad Hafeez were the openers. They tried their best to provide the best start. But in the 8th over, Asad Shfiq got out at the short pitched ball of Tsotsobe. At that time the score was 26.
Then Younis Khan was sent by the team management & he played awesome. Mohammad Hafeez & Younis Khan made a 100 runs partnership. South African bowlers were frustrating.
In the 31th over, Mohammad Hafeez got out after scoring 68 runs of 84 balls wth 7 fours. At that time the score of Pakistan was 140/2.
After 3 overs, Younis Khan left the new batsman Misbah-ul-Haq at the crease. He scored 54 runs of 75 balls with 2 fours.
Then suddenly the situation of the match changed. All batsmen went back to pavilion after adding just 46 runs. This shocked everyone. Captain of Pakistan Boom Boom also failed to play a big innings.
In the end, the score of Pakistan was 203/10 in 49.0 overs.

South Africa Innings:
Greame Smith & Hashim Amla provide good start to the innings. But Smith injured (retired not out) by Shoaib Akhtar’s ball which hits his fingers & arm. It hits twice. It was terrible. At that time the score of South Africa was 29/0.
Jacques Kallis was sent to complete the innings. Amla & Kallis played really great. At last Ajmal succeeded in taking the wicket of Hashim Amla. He scored 35 runs of 29 balls with 3 fours & 1 six. The score of South Africa was 70/1 in 12.4 overs.
AB de Villiers played well but again Saeed Ajmal’s strike forced him to leave the crease. He scored 51 runs of 52 balls with 6 fours. At that time the score of South Africa was 147/2 in 28.3 overs.
At the score of 188, Kallis injured himself by playing a short pitched ball of Umar Gull. He was shrieking at that time with pain. Something went wrong with his legs & thighs. He was unable to walk so he went back on the drink car. He scored 66 runs of 88 balls with 5 fours & 1 six.
Once again Duminy & Ingram completed the innings for South Africa. South Africa scored 207/2 in 39.3 overs.
